An awareness programme on Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment was conducted with the BA 5th Semester students on 11th October 2025 at Pfutsero Government College, organized by the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Nagaland, and Ark Foundation, in collaboration with the Red Ribbon Club of the college. The programme began at 10:00 AM with the objective of educating students on the harmful effects of substance abuse and promoting a healthy lifestyle.Resource persons from Ark Foundation and the Department of Social Welfare spoke on various aspects of drug addiction, its social and health impacts, and the importance of early intervention and community participation in addressing the issue. The session also included an interactive segment where students actively participated and shared their thoughts.The programme concluded with words of appreciation from the college representatives, acknowledging the efforts of the organizers for bringing valuable awareness to the student community. Refreshments were also provided to all the students at the end of the programme.
