On April 11, 2026, a Nagaland University inspection team visited Pfutsero Government College to evaluate its readiness for upgradation to offer the fourth year of the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP), in line with the New Education Policy, 2020, ahead of the upcoming academic session.
The team, comprising Prof. Pum Khan Pau and Prof. Suresh Kurapati from Nagaland University, held interactive sessions with the Principal, faculty members, and students. They also conducted a thorough ground inspection of the new campus, infrastructural facilities, faculty strength, and the college’s best practices.
Currently, the college offers honours programmes in seven disciplines: Economics, Education, English, History, Political Science, Sociology, and Tenyidie. It is actively expanding with upcoming Science honours programmes, supported by a new building under construction at the campus.
This visit advances our commitment to NEP-aligned education and enhanced student opportunities.
