PGC held its 43rd Parting Social

The 43rd Parting Social of Pfutsero Government College was held with great enthusiasm at the college auditorium under the theme “The Final Curtain.” The programme began at 10:30 AM with a series of formal and cultural events marking a memorable farewell for the outgoing students.
The function was chaired by Mr. Tsholo Kreo, while the invocation was pronounced by Mr. Verho Nakro. The welcome address was delivered by the G.S., Mr. Susa Ladumai, followed by the Vice-Principal’s address by Shri Neichupe Kapfo, who encouraged the students to uphold the values and discipline learned during their college years.
A special musical presentation titled “Born to Be Alive” added vibrancy to the occasion. The former G.S., Ms. Petshou Mero, presented her report, reflecting on the achievements and activities of the student body. Speeches on behalf of juniors and seniors were delivered by Mr. Peri Mekru and Mr. Dietho Khatso along with Mr. Duti Sarah, expressing gratitude, memories, and best wishes for the graduating batch.
The scheduled guest speaker, Shri Manpon Konyak, Hon’ble MLA, Government of Nagaland, could not attend the programme due to unavoidable circumstances. In his place, Smti. Awan Konyak, Chairman of the Nagaland Bio Resources Mission addressed the gathering on his behalf, along with the Hon’ble MLA’s PS and PA. In her speech, she encouraged students to remain committed, resilient, and responsible citizens while pursuing their future endeavors.
Another special performance, “Slipping Through My Fingers,” added an emotional touch to the farewell atmosphere. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Lhoutshou Sarah, followed by a benediction from Ms. Meluve-U Venuh.
After refreshments, the second session commenced at 1:00 PM featuring an extravaganza hosted by Ms. Wekuo-U Kapfo and Mr. Mesuwe Pradia, which included lively performances and entertainment, making the day a memorable conclusion to the academic journey of the outgoing students.
The event successfully blended formal proceedings with heartfelt moments, leaving a lasting impression on all present.
