A one day workshop on ‘Financial Literacy and Library Awareness: Role of Library in Resource Management and Sharing’was organized on 11th Oct 2023 at the College Auditorium by IQAC, Pfutsero Government College in collaboration with CRISIL Foundation Pfutsero and Library Department of the college for the teaching faculty, students and ministerial staff. The resource person for Session I, Mrs. WeloÜ Khalo,Librarian,PGC, presented on the topic ‘Library Awareness: Role of Library in Resource Management and Sharing’.She spoke on the history and functions of library and different Library resources available in the college.She also introduced the e-Calibre library facility available in the college and encouraged the gathering to make use of the different resources and facilities provided to develop healthy reading habits.Mrs. Wetsou Medo,Asst.Prof. Dept of History gave the Introduction and Mrs. Neipreu Mero, Asst.Prof and HOD, Dept. of English gave the closing remarks.
For session II on Financial Literacy, the resource persons spoke and gave an insight on banking and finances. Mr. KhachÜ Koza, Centre Manager,CFL Pfutsero, CRISIL Foundation, spoke on ‘Banking, Savings and Investments’. Mr. Job Koza, Field Coordinator, Kikruma, CFL Pfutsero, CRISIL Foundation spoke on ‘Goal Setting and Financial Planning, Insurance’. Mr. Vietshote Koza, Field Coordinator, Chizami, CFL Pfutsero, CRISIL Foundation spoke on ‘Pension, Digital Banking and Fraud prevention’ and Ms. VevosalÜ Kotso, DEO,CFL,Pfutsero,CRISIL Foundation spoke on ‘Social Security Schemes’. Ms. Teithuvina Nukhu, Asst.Prof. Dept. of Economics gave the introduction and closing remarks was given by Mrs. Megono Chucha, Asst.Prof. Dept. of English.
