BRIEF INTRODUCTION
The history of Sociology Department is recent in this esteem institution of higher learning. The Department was introduced in 2016 with a view to start both Honours and General courses. The subject aims to equip students with the basic and applied principles of sociology which is a scientific study of society. There was a great need to introduce the subject for the purpose of providing more options to elect subject and scoring better marks in the examination. Because of the subject’s popularity and its scope, quite a good number of students has opted the subject in all the semesters.
The Department at present is managed by only three Asst. Professors and they are endeavoring to help the department to the best of their capability.
