Education Department was started with Pre-university level since inception of the college in 1982. The first batch Degree course in Education started as private in 1989 where candidates of the college were made to appear the university examination at Kohima college centre under NEHU. Degree course was officially affiliated to Nagaland University w.e.f. 2000-2003 academic session. Student enrollment in the subject has been always high (in the college) and the department has also been producing good and consistent results in successive university examination.
