The department of history in order to have a cordial relation with the students and create and interest in the subject have started the ‘History Club’. The teaching faculty of the department and honours students are its members and others can become members voluntarily. The ‘History Club’ is headed by the HOD of History, which will be gradually handed over to the students as they grow in number. The department also offers mentorship to the honours students exclusively by the Asst. Professors of the department.

1. Fostering unity and brotherhood of all.
2. Inculcate a sense of belonging and pride in one’s culture and tradition.
3. Preserve historical places if any for posterity.
4. Visit historical places – local, district, state and national.
5. Encourage research, project work, journals and magazine writings and promote interest in the subject through seminars and group discussions.
