Pfutsero Government College Organizes 42nd Cultural cum Literary Day

Pfutsero Government College celebrated its 42nd Cultural and Literary Day on March 11–12, 2025, under the theme “Rooted in Tradition, Reaching for Excellence.”
Cultural Day – March 11
The Cultural Day was held on March 11, with Shri Vezühu Keyho, President of the Chakhesang Public Organisation, as the guest speaker. He emphasized the importance of preserving social values passed down by forefathers while wisely adapting to change. He reminded students of two key Chakhesang cultural practices: Menga (shame) and Kenyi (taboo/genna).
The program was chaired by Mr. Boche Mero, Vice President of PGCSU. A welcome address was delivered by Dr. Vizolenuo Sophie, followed by the keynote address from Dr. Tialila, Principal of PGC. Greetings were also extended by the Social and Cultural Secretary of the Chakhesang Students’ Union.
Literary Day – March 12
The Literary Day on March 12 featured Shri Nunese Sale, CEO of Nune’s Construction and President of Vision Trinity Club, Sari Education Foundation, and The Dream Team Nagaland, as the guest speaker. He highlighted the importance of consistency, dedication, commitment, and creativity in achieving success.
Ms. Muluvelu Vadeo, Finance Secretary of PGCSU, chaired the event. A welcome address was delivered by Ms. Meno-U Tepfo, Magazine & Literary Secretary of PGCSU. Greetings were shared by ANCSU President Mr. Tenyesinlo Bukh and PTCSU President Mr. Deve Rüho.
The occasion also featured a showcase of designs by Welo Akami Artwork. Competitions in various categories were held during the second session on both days.
